A mysteriously stoic character is hired as a security guard by a cash truck company responsible for transporting a lot of money around Los Angeles each week.

The USS Essex is travelling in the furthest reaches of the known Universe when it encounters a gigantic creature. After pirates steal their cargo and most of their supplies the crew decide to capture the creature.
